Click on the Start Button
Navigate the Start menu as ShownThrough Programs, Accessories and into Norton Utilities
Select Windoctor

Windoctor will the scan the system looking for errors

When it is finished scanning it will display the dialogue box shown below

When you click next and there are no errors found
Windoctor will display the follwing and allow you to exit

Of course you will want to know how to fix errors so I created some.
Don't Do this at Home I deleted outlook to get some errors
Then I reran Windoctor and now it says this

We want to fix all these problems, so we click Finish and the following screen
will appear

This shows all the problems in specific areas
Right click on an area and the following menu will come up

Select Repair Selected problem
The following dialog will come up

I find Windoctor doesn't pick the best selection so click on
Allow me to choose the solution for each problem and click OK

Now we are asked how to fix each problem in order.
Normally Windoctor looks for missing links to files
If it finds a file then we should select it
This is because a program may have moved on the disk
In this case there is no file so it is safe to delete it
Most of the time delete the links unless it offers a selection of files
in which case you should either select one or delete it
After you choose the solution and press repair, Windoctor will bring up the next problem
When it has finished going through the problems a tick will appear in that problem section

Choose and fix the errors in all the other sections and you will get all green ticks

If you go back into Windoctor later you can undo any corrections you made with the history
